"Thank you so much for your support and help. All the teachers, you especially, pushed me to reach my potential as a dancer and I am so grateful for that. I will be continuing with dance in my spare time as much as possible. I am so happy that you entered my life because you are such an inspirational dancer and woman in general."

Thank you sooo much!"-
" I joined PDC when we opened for our very first season, and I can honestly say my time at the studio changed my life. As a dancer, I benefitted endlessly from the outstanding quality of technical training, performance skill-building, and stage experience. As an artist, I fell in love with the choreographers’ beautifully crafted routines and was proud to represent the studio on stage. As a team member, I looked forward to coming to classes that always provided an environment of unwavering support, amazing friendships, and endless laughter. As a student, I will never forget the moments I shared with my teachers – time they took out of their personal lives to mentor me, guide me, and help me grow into the person I am today. And finally as an alumnus – I love the opportunity to come back for events and competitions, and even teach a few classes. I can’t believe I joined PDC 9 years ago (I still have the original team jacket!!). I never stopped dancing, and have gotten involved in Toronto’s vibrant dance scene where I’ve been lucky to continue regular classes. Dance will always be a part of me, and Protégé will always be my home."

"Being a part of the Protégé team from the very first year it opened was a wonderful and rewarding experience. My love for dance only grew from my time at the studio. As a student I made friendships, laughed endlessly and created memories I will remember forever. The care, dedication and endless support the teachers and staff put into training technique and creating routines is something to be recognized. Being at Protégé not only taught me how to dance, it taught me about the value of hard work, teamwork and setting goals, all to which I took with me beyond the dance studio. Protégé Dance Company played a part in shaping the person I am and the values I hold today. Protégé is not only a dance studio, it is a family and the most supportive community."

"Switching from being a competitive gymnast to a competitive dancer was a big change for me but Protégé welcomed me with open arms. Even though the students in my classes had known each other for most of their lives they helped me feel included since my first day. My 3 years with Protégé helped me balance school, dance, a part time job, piano lessons, and school sports! The time management skills are still useful to me today in university. I’m in the 4th year of my undergrad at the University of Guelph and am happy to say dance is still a huge part of my life! I am one of the captains of the University’s competitive tap dance team which is something I wouldn’t have been able to achieve without my training at Protégé."

"I started my dance training at a later age but after training at different studios in the GTA I finally found the studio that was the right fit for me, while challenging me to grow as a dancer. Protégé Dance Company tailored my classes accordingly and gave me the needed training in order for me to advance and catch up with the senior level students. After Protégé Dance Company I continued my dance studies at George Brown College (Toronto, ON). Protégé giving me the training and confidence I needed to get into this dance program. To date Protégé Dance Company holds a special place in my heart, giving me the training and confidence to pursue my dreams and dance career. Some of my dance accomplishments due to my great start with Protégé include: dancing and performing in music videos, television commercials, concerts, festivals and touring in Dubai, working with established artists such as Kelly Clarkson , Shawn Hook/ Vanessa Hughes, and performing in large productions such as the Pan Am games , WE Day, I Heart Radio Jingle Ball to name a few. I owe these opportunities to my great start at Protégé Dance Dance Company and I look forward to watching their continued growth and watching the great talent emerge from their great programs. To them and their staff I am truly grateful."

"Dancing with Protégé Dance Company has not only been a wonderful dance experience, but it has also taught me many life lessons and has shaped me into the person I am today. I came to Protégé Dance Company two years after the opening and was immediately welcomed in to what would become my second family. Starting at a new studio is always nerve-racking; especially when everyone else already knows each other. Yet all the dancers and teachers at Protégé made me feel like I had been apart of the team since day one. Dancing at Protégé helped give me the discipline and strength that is needed in the outside world. From the structure of the classes, to the perseverance and tenacity that is developed, I noticed that these qualities translated into my everyday life and I became a stronger person for it. However, the most important lesson I learned from being at Protégé Dance Company is how to have confidence and to always believe in myself, and for that I am forever grateful. All these qualities I have gained, not only as a dancer, but as a person, has made it possible for me to be who I am, and where I am, today. This past year I was able to have the amazing, but also challenging, opportunity to live and study abroad in France for 9 months as a result of the strength and determination that I possess today. Protégé brought be out of my shell and helped me to believe in myself and believe that I could achieve the impossible! I have absolutely loved my time dancing with Protégé and I have continued with my passion of dance by taking some drop-in classes at the National Ballet of Canada whenever I can. Dance helps the mind, the body, and the soul and Protégé Dance Company provides the safe and encouraging space for this growth. I will always consider this my second home! I want to thank you Miss Christine, and everyone at Protégé, for the love and support you have given me over the years! I am grateful for my time at Protégé and I honestly wouldn't be who I am today without all of you! Protégé has helped me in so many ways, so I wanted to take this opportunity to say a special thanks for all you've done for me! I hope you're doing great!
Maddie Myatt (Graduate) “I was a student at Protégé Dance Company for 5 years and loved every minute of it. Beyond the incredible teachers, administration, students, and parents, Protégé helped prepare me for life outside of dance too. The discipline and time management skills that I gained from being a student at Protégé helped me to adjust to my first year at university and living away from home. I’ve made so many amazing memories here and I’m grateful I got the chance to be a part of the Protégé family”.
