General Studio Information

Administration:
Our office administrator is available to help answer and direct your questions or concerns accordingly. All payments are also to be made through the administrator on site. All information is kept confidential.

In-House Calendar:
A calendar is posted just outside the office to help everyone remain organized with studio events and payments. Please feel free to peruse through the calendar to ensure you are up-to-date with events, payments, and holidays, etc.

Bulletin Board:
All notices will be photocopied and given to your child to take home. All notices are also posted on the studio bulletin board. It is the parent/student’s responsibility to check the bulletin board periodically.

Monthly Newsletter:
Protégé Dance Company composes a Monthly Newsletter (October – June) to help families keep up-to-date with events, payments and gentle reminders. This Newsletter is emailed to all registered families on the 1st of the month from October – June, and is posted on our studio bulletin board and office.

Note: If you are not receiving our Monthly Newsletters, please visit our office immediately to verify that your email address has been input correctly into our system.

Facility:
Parents are responsible for watching their child(ren) when not in class. Please refrain your child(ren) from jumping and/or climbing on studio furniture; including chairs, benches and shelving units, as well as banging on the viewing window. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the studio. Damage to the studio results in increased fees.

Protégé Dance Company works hard to provide the students and parents a clean and professional atmosphere. Please be mindful of this and clean up after yourself.

Recycle when possible. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are offered to parents/adults ONLY. The studio also sells water for $1.00, which can be paid to the administrator on site or to your child’s teacher.

Waiting Area:
T.V. Monitor’s and a Viewing Window are provided for you to witness the progress of your child in the waiting area. Please be positive in your comments while in the waiting area. Negative Nelly’s are not welcome here at our studio. Protégé Dance Company reserves the right to excuse any parents, students or visitors whose behavior is deemed inappropriate to the studio, students, teachers or personnel.

Change Room:
The main Change Room is a “Females-ONLY Change room”. Therefore, any Father’s or Male Guardians are to use the washrooms as a Change Room, or ask a female for assistance to help change your daughter(s). Any male dancers are to also use the washrooms available.

Photography/Videotaping:
Please refrain from any photography or videotaping of our students, classes or choreography without prior permission from the teachers, choreographers or parents.

Articles of Clothing:
Please label all dance apparel (Mabel's Labels Fundraising), including: shoes, bodysuits, tights, shorts, etc. with your child’s full name. A tote bag keeps belongings together and is portable. A cover-up should be worn to and from the studio. Dance shoes are to be worn indoors only. Protégé Dance Company is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave all valuables at home.

Gently Used Shoes & Bodysuits:

If you have gently used dance shoes/bodysuits that your child has outgrown and would like to sell, (as per our studio uniform), simply tie the pair of shoes together and/or package your bodysuit including a label with a) your first and last name b) contact phone number and c) price you would like to sell your shoes/bodysuit for. CASH ONLY. Protégé is happy to offer this service… please DO NOT place articles of clothing that DO NOT comply with our studio uniform. Any articles of clothing that do not comply with our studio uniform will be removed. Please place your item(s) in a clear zip-lock bag.
