Christine is a fully certified teacher under Alixa Flexibility (Module One & Two), Acrobatic Arts (Module One), Dance Masters of America (Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Acrobatics), Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (Jazz & Tap), The British Association of Teachers of Dancing (Associate: Ballet & Stage and Member: Modern & Acrobatics) and holds her Intermediate Cecchetti Certificate, Cecchetti Canada (Ballet).
As an educator, Christine taught at the the secondary level within the Durham Separate District School Board from 2002-2007, where she was notably recognized for developing strong dance curriculums and dance teams, in addition to ten years alongside the studio milieu. With now over 25 years of teaching experience, Christine's students have been the recipients of many honourable awards in Canada, winning numerous scholarships and top marks in solo, duet and group categories, including highest mark of the competition. Christine's students have also continued dancing professionally in music videos, commercials, movies, theme parks, theatre, television, cheerleadering teams, cruise ships, Canadian Salsa Team and World Performers Canada (Dance World Cup- Europe).
Christine's passion for education is on-going annually attending many workshops, conventions and conferences in the industry including: The Dance Project (Vaughan, ON), Northern Movement Inc. Acro (Mississauga, ON), Cecchetti Canada: Major & Grades Workshop (The National Ballet School, Toronto, ON), Rebecca Davies: Radar Technique and Krista Miller's Teacher Classes - Jump Start Dance Intensive 2018 (Toronto, ON), Cecchetti Canada: 2019 Cecchetti National Conference (British Columbia, ON) and most recently CDX (Canadian Dance Expo 2022, Toronto, ON) and Toronto Teacher Expo 2022 (Toronto, ON).
Christine's "eye-for-detail" is second-to-none: makes for her student's polished technique and crowd-pleasing choreography. In addition, Christine is especially known for her exceptional teaching in acro, a specialty skill required at many auditions and a stand-out from competition-to-competition, year-after-year.
As the proud owner and director of Protégé Dance Company, Christine works diligently to build a positive reputation in the community and has gained the respect of many peers and professionals in the dance industry. More importantly, Christine believes in empowering all her students taking a holistic approach to teaching to ensure all her students are growing age-appropriately. As a mentor to many, Christine's philosophy is simple: work hard, remain humble and always choose kind.

As a dancer, Christine has had the opportunity to perform across Canada, United States, Europe and the Caribbean. Her performance roles were seen on television, music videos, cruise ships, theme parks, dinner theatres, casinos and numerous corporate events. Some of Christine's memorable appearances include CFL Grey cup Half Time Show ft. Lenny Kravitz (TSN), Fashion Cares: MAC Cosmetics ft. Amanda Marshall, David Usher, Angie Stone (A&E/Bravo, World Winter Games Opening Ceremonies ft. Susan Aglukark (TSN), Paramount Parks (Breakfast Television, CITY-TV), featured acrobat in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Music of the Night" (Norwegian Cruise Lines). Epcot Walt Disney World, Viva Las Vegas, Sangre Caliente, and three seasons as Dance Captain with Paramount Canada's Wonderland in the main stage production. Industrial performances include: Bell Mobility, Bell Canada, Sears, Weekenders Canada and the Carlu.
Christine attends many master classes across the country and her continuous involvement in teacher educational programs ensures that all her students are taught the latest style and techniques in dance.
As a guest teacher to many studios and conventions across the province, Christine has also taught at Metro Movement Dance Studio, OIP Dance Centre, George Brown College and Durham Synchronized Swimming Club.
In addition, Christine holds a Business Diploma (Centennial College) and is associated with the Professional Adjudicators Alliance (PAA) adjudicating for numerous competitions across Canada and the United States including, Terpsichore Dance Celebration, Dancefest, Rhythm Dance, Dance Beat, Dance Extravaganza, Canadian Edge, CDTA and CNE Rising Star.
