Protégé Dance Company is happy to offer dance classes to our adults. Our adult classes are geared towards the adult beginner/intermediate student.

Protégé Dance Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes based on enrollment.

Presently, we are offering Adult Ballet on Tuesday evenings and Adult Yoga on Wednesday evenings this 2020 Fall (8 weeks).

WEDNEsdays

Class: Adult Yoga
Time: 8:45-10:00pm
Instructor: Miss Alannah
Fall Session: 8 weeks (September 23 - November 11, 2020)
Fee: $128 plus HST (8 weeks)


Adult Registration Form

1. One (1) form per Adult must be completed and submitted. Each form includes:

  • Registration
  • Liability Waiver
  • Media Release (optional)
  • Payment Policy Agreement
  • COVID-19 Waiver
  • Hands-on Teaching (optional)

2. Once you submit, our Office Administrator will receive a confirmation.

3. Our Office Administrator will follow-up and contact you during Office Hours to:
a. Confirm your registration
b. Calculate your fees
c. Arrange an appointment (PAYMENTS are made in-person, through our office by appointment only).


ADULT ballet Description

Classical (Cecchetti Syllabus) Ballet

Class Structure: 1 hour & 15 minutes (Center Barre, Adage, Petit Allegro)

  • Barre: traditional & technical exercises performed at the barre including: plié, tendu, degagé, ronds de jambe, fondu, retiré, developé, grand battement and port de bras to name a few.
  • Centre: Adage (slow controlled exercises focusing on balance and transfer of weight) & Allegro (basic introduction to jumps).
  • Note: Jumps can be easily modified for those who are unable to jump.

Attire:

  • Comfortable tight-fitting athletic wear and/or traditional ballet attire. 
  • Shoes: Ballet Shoes. 
  • Hair: Off the face ie: bun, pony-tail, braid, etc. 


ADULT YOGA Description

Unheated Power Vinyasa Flow

Class Structure: 1 hour & 15 minutes (follow a sequence of yoga movements focusing on breath, strength and flexibility).

  • Power Yoga is an excellent way to set the foundation for discovering body awareness, breath, meditation and a deeper sense of self. 
  • Individuals will create connections, builds self confidence and develop enhanced self awareness.
  • Yoga will help you transform your limiting thoughts into new possibilities that will awaken your spirits and leave you rinsed and renewed.
  • Yoga is meant for everyone and can be done at any level/pace with modifications made to the sequence.

Attire:

  • Comfortable athletic wear
  • Shoes: Bare-feet
  • Hair: Off the face
  • Equipment: Bring a mat and water bottle
